4 - MaureenD - Full - This mini (12” x 12”) quilt was made in a David Owen Hastings workshop, inspired by Architecture.
4 - Maureen- I deconstructed my photograph, created an abstract design and chose a complimentary minimalist quilting design. Angular and curve shapes were quilted by machine and big stitched by hand.
5 - NancyK - Full - I learned a lot about my machine and its many stitches doing this project. And I used a wide variety of threads including 12 wt.
5 - NancyK - Detail - I made an offset block from threads and tied in walking foot quilting using more stitches.
6 - NancyK - Full - This piece is based on a photo my husband took called “sunrise in fort pierce.” I did my first version for a challenge in another group.
6 - NancyK - Detail - This one is the same sunrise but done in decorative stitches. The background is painted onto canvas.
7 - NancyP - Full - I've never used this many quilting techniques on a quilt and this one was an original design and also a challenge to piece.
