We will be sharing internationally acclaimed Maria Shell IN-PERSON with the Palm Beach MQG for a lecture plus Q&A at the Hilton Garden Inn Palm Beach Gardens. Followed by light bites and cash bar. Also available via live Zoom. Will not be recorded. Lecture : IMPROV CURIOUS—A HISTORY, A STORY, A LESSON Join Maria for a deep dive into the history of improv in all art forms, as well as how it relates to contemporary quilt making. Maria asks and answers the following questions with humor, facts, and personal anecdotes. What is Improv Quilting and where did it come from? Who are the contemporary Improv quilt artists? What makes their work improvisational? How can you cultivate improv practices in your own work? What does the popularity of improv quilt making mean for the larger quilt world?
