Governance

South Florida Modern Quilt Guild is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization under the umbrella of the national Modern Quilt Guild. Our guild aims to

  • Develop and encourage the art of modern quilting.

  • Work with other guilds and groups with a similar purpose.

  • Offer educational opportunities through classes, workshops, lectures, and sharing of information.

  • Support and provide opportunity for outreach or other works that provide back to the community through the use of modern quilting skills.

We are governed by our Bylaws and an Executive Council of volunteers.

Addendums:

  • Refund Policy : Effective September 15, 2021, workshop purchasers who cancel must notify the VP of Events at EMAIL no less than 72 hours before the start of a workshop. The South Florida MQG will attempt to arrange a private resale of the space from the online wait list if spaces have sold out. No refunds will be issued by the South Florida MQG.

  • The role of Treasurer can serve more than one calendar year or term.
