Please join us for Sew Day at Patch Reef Park.
Sew Day will be following CDC guidelines regarding face masks.
Whoo hoo! Finally, after more than a year and a half we are having an in-person Sew Day! Please join us at Patch Reef Park - Saturday, August 7, 9:00am - 4:00pm.
We will spend the first part of the August Sew Day working on the QuiltCon Community Quilt blocks designed by Maureen D. Fabric and pattern will be provided and Maureen will be there to give instructions on making the blocks. Please bring neutral thread to piece the blocks along with the usual sewing supplies - machine, cord, rotary cutter/ruler/mat, snips, seam ripper, pins, etc. Our goal is to get these done in one day and we appreciate everyone's help!
The Community Quilt blocks will not take all day, so you're welcome to bring another project to work on, too. Since we haven't had a Charity Quilt Sew Day in awhile, please consider working on a quilt for our 2021 charity - AVDA, a women's domestic violence shelter in Palm Beach County. Our goal this year is to donate 25+ twin sized quilts for the beds at the shelter. The quilt pattern we are using is a Tossed Nine Patch. You can use any fabrics - these are very scrappy! Each block takes nine 5" squares with the center always being a solid white square. You can bring 5" squares to share or sew from extras other people have brought.
Hope to see you at Sew Day!
