Karen Bolan Bio:
Karen Bolan is a civil engineer turned quilter in Santa Rosa, California. Her designs are out of the box and integrate a love of geometry, experimentation, interconnection, depth and texture. Her work has been exhibited at QuiltCon and the Pacific International Quilt Festival. It also has been featured in magazines including Curated Quilts, Modern Quilt Guild Journal, Make Modern and Modish Quilter.. Her background is engineering supports her lecture topic. Karen will offer an alternative to patterns that frees you to appoint yourself the quilt design director.
