LIBERATED HOUSES SUPPLY LIST
Using Gwen Marston’s Liberated Quiltmaking techniques as inspiration, construct houses in different styles and sizes, and, if you choose, select a theme or holiday to celebrate in the neighborhood. All construction is accomplished using improvisational techniques - no patterns or appliqué. Everything is original design!

Please bring:
The usual things
Sewing machine, cord, foot pedal, bobbins, 1⁄4 foot, extension cord, neutral piecing thread, thread snips, seam ripper, pins, scissors, rotary cutter, ruler and mat, paper and pencil for sketchingFabrics
You will need approximately a 12” square for each house. Bring assorted scraps for windows, doors, shutters, chimneys, molding, stars, trees and trunks. You can choose to use one fabric for all the houses backgrounds or assorted scraps in a similar value for the backgrounds. We will have time to make several houses in class so plan accordingly.
Give thought to if you would like to work in a theme – here are a couple of ideas, the possibilities are endless!
