Materials that you’ll bring to the workshop:
16 - 32 squares cut from newspaper, a newsprint pad, or old phone books. 6" square is a good size, but you can cut them any size you like. Bring extra paper if you want to.
Strips and scraps of any size or shape - leftover bits in your stash that are already cut and/or already sewn together and not used. Anything goes!
Solids in darks, mediums, lights, and any prints: small, large, dots, stripes - whatever you have.
The Usual Suspects
sewing machine
scissors
thread
iron (if not supplied by venue)
rotary cutter and mat
ruler (which you will use only to trim)
seam ripper (just in case)
Other
24" x 36" piece of cotton batting to use as a design wall
blue painter's tape to attach batting to wall.
