Community Outreach Quilt Designs

1. The challenge for this exercise is letting members choose their own fabric to make 8.5" square HST. Will need 80 blocks, and it would require telling members whether they were making: dark purple, medium red/purple or a light fuchsia, including prints or tone on tone. The other fabric would be a light grey/off white.

2. Undersea View - The pictures show the block design and two inspiration photos of sun rays under the sea. The green-blue colorway would be used with a white or light green fabric slash running through a striped block, green at the top and the deepest blue at the bottom. Prints, maybe even with sea themes, could be used for a scrappy look. Blocks would be delivered at 11.5 inches across by 12.5 inches tall.

3. Design uses negative space and the green-blue colorway. The background would be pale pastel green. The green diamonds fade from right to left. The blue blocks are two-tone lighter and darker blue. The diamonds would be lime green. The future quilting would play off the angles in the blocks. The blocks would finish at 6 inches to be sewn at 5.5 inches.

4. The Color Shift is visible in the diagonal layout. Both color ways work.
