  • There will be a special membership raffle for guild’s 9th Birthday at November Meeting.

MEETING MINUTES

  • Meeting opened by Brenda and introduced guest lecturer Teresa Duryea Wong who spoke for 45 min and answered

    questions till 2:05. Meeting continued at 2:20

  • Treasurer, AJ announced the $10 guest fee when paid programs are offered. Guild has $7,100 in its coffers.

  • Judy and Ellen spoke of submissions for Challenge. 5 received so far. Entry forms due 11/1, photos due 11/15. Info on website.

  • Cathy, BOM, Cathy - BOM. Announced winners of past months. Pam Chamberlin won the triangle/rectangle blocks. She made 16

    blocks. Kane Moore won for September. October block, due in November are called prism blocks, 6 1/2” center in coastal colors with gray borders. Directions are on BOM webpage.

  • Patti, QAL, Patti -QAL. Final block is magic mystery tour. Take any 2 blocks, cut in half and put them together however you see fit. Can add coordinating solids or prints, use leftover bits and pieces. Then put all blocks together.

    Send photos to Charlotte for gallery. Send Patti a message that you participated in QAL, all or just part, as there will be gifts for all those who participated. More details on webpage.

  • Susan and Chris, Charity Quilts **** Drop off of Charity Quilts and Placemats for end of Year 2020 *****

    We need your help making our goal of 100 charity quilts for Menorah Skilled Nursing Home this December. StitchCraft has kindly offered to be a drop off site December 7-12 for any completed lap size quilts or placemats. Charity quilts may also be dropped off earlier if need be. Just a reminder that any pattern and color will gladly be accepted. We will go over any questions at the November 21st meeting. Hopefully this notice will give you enough time to get your charity quilt completed. Check out Charity tab on website.

  • AJ, BQE, Rose Parsons won long armer raffle. Another raffle for long armer $5 ticket, buy by 11/1.

  • Nicole, Events, all lectures and workshops are online in Events. 

  • October Virtual Meeting Gallery was shown and members talked about their work.

The SFMQG has monthly Zoom meetings the 3rd Saturday 1pm-3pm. Membership is pro-rated for the rest of 2020 which also includes membership in the national MQG. Anyone can join online and participate no matter where you are during 2020. See Online Quilting Fun blog post for complete summary of virtual events.
