SYNOPSIS

  • Education: Li gave a funny and informative session on how to send you quilt top to a longarmer for the best results. *As an example as to why you need to deliver your backing as a larger piece (6” total on each side, meaning 3” right, left, bottom, and top) than your quilt top, she said: “Why is that Li? Your underwear is smaller than the rest of your clothes.” Maybe you had to be there? But it was the highlight of the meeting to me.

  • BOM: We have a new BOM from Catherine inspired by ice cream cones.

  • QAL: Patti led another fun QAL called Circling the Brain. Everyone showed their finished piece or WIP to great acclaim. Each member received a fabric rose. A raffle drawn deemed Charlotte the QAL Queen replete with sash and brain scepter. Thanks, Patti!

  • Show and Tell:  Members Charlotte, Sherry, Melissa, Kane, Marcia showed some fantastic quilts. Plus, we saw work from members (Dre, Susan, Debby S, and Chris) who attended the strip piecing workshop in Stuart!
