Brenda opened the meeting at 1:00PM
Cathy introduced speaker, Yvonne Fuchs @quiltingjetgirl Lecture - Transparency Quilts - Fabric Selection Tips & Tricks Yvonne spoke and answered questions until 2pm. There were 62 attendees - 60 members and 2 guests.
Treasurer - AJ Balance at 5/31 is $10,767.
BQE - AJ BQE website. Oct. 23-24, 2021, Charles Dodge Center, Pembroke Pines
Mini quilt action quilts due 9/9, will be held late Sunday. Proceeds come back to guild.

Quiltique point person volunteer needed. Proceeds from all items donated by guild members go to guild.
Entry $10/day to show and classes.
Show Volunteering can be done online.
Brenda is point person to collect quilts at show’s end.
BQE Raffle quilt: Cathy completed layout, Charlotte will big stitch.
Membership - Charlotte - 3 new members, SuzanneA, FaithP & KarenM and 2 Guests attended today. 123 members total.
QuiltCon 2022 Community Outreach quilt: AlisonR will coordinate. Due January. Maureen’s original stack n whack improv block chosen by membership.
Charity - Susan and Chris Blocks can be dropped off at StitchCraft. Her sister has volunteered to long-arm the donation quilts. 25+ members have sent in 5 blocks or more. Directions on website.
Patti, QAL: 2021-05 Month #4 - SFMQG Florida Flyover QUILT-ALONG (QAL) with Patti now month 4. Take all the sand blocks made for month 3 and attach them to create an 18”x48” long piece. Don’t attach it to water yet. Post progress and blocks using hashtag #sfmqg2021qal. Directions and photos on website.
Linda H, Challenge: SFMQG 2020 CHALLENGE - Curve Around Challenge. Introduced Kim & Tom Soper of Feel Good Fibers who gave a presentation on destashing through their service. They’re providing a $50 gift certificate for Cassandra Beaver’s guest judge award.
