QUILT YOUR BOOK
Choose a book cover and quilt it! We have completed month #2 of the 6 months challenge and included appliqués on our book cover blocks.
We’ve had interesting “reads” Post to Facebook or send your pictures to Charlotte for Show and Tell!
On our next challenge, we will explore curves - 2024 Challenge : Quilt Your Book QAL #3 Curves

Block of the Month
May Block is called “Triangles” inspired by Mike Smoller’s painting “This is what I did” (saatchiart.com)

June Block is called “Woven Star”. It is a (free) FPP pattern found here:
Important: Section A and B together count as one block.
To those attending in person on Saturday, the pattern will be available both printed on freezer paper and on “Fun-Dation” piecing material. Kona white fabric will be provided, bring practice fabric, your lightweight sewing machine and prepare your block with us!

Call for Volunteers: Two positions opened!
Chair and Coordinator for MQG Community Outreach Challenge
This year’s theme is “Lines and Bars” and comes with a “calming” palette.
Liaison for South Florida Quilt Expo (SFQE), previously called “BQE”.
This position is in preparation of the SFQE to be held March 8-9, 2025 in Pembroke Pines, FL. The volunteer serves on the SFQE committee and updates SFMQG at our monthly meeting. SFQE meetings are held on Zoom once a month.
