August 2020 – Month Five
Abbey Road –
Abbey Road was recorded in 1969 and became one of their most famous albums, featuring such songs as “Something” and “Come Together”, as well as “Here Comes the Sun” (see last month’s block). And who can forget the ionic album cover featuring all four Beatles crossing the street in London. (and the fact that Paul had no shoes on, starting all kinds of rumors about his supposed “death”).
This month you will create a block featuring a crossing similar to the Beatles crossing the street. It can feature rectangles crossing a solid piece of fabric. It can have tiny piecing placed diagonally across a low volume print. Your “road” can be curvy or straight or have angles. As long as your block finishes 18.5 inches, we won’t be “cross”.
Due at next meeting - either show at September meeting or post online.
