SFMQG March Meeting Summary
National Quilting Day celebration begins with open sew on Zoom at 10 a.m.
In person, members price the guild’s BQE’s Guildtique table items. Fat quarters and larger cuts from a former Boca Raton quilter’s stash picked up during the week at Laura’s are sold for 50 cents and $1.
Sheila Frampton Cooper offers a two-hour trunk show, construction technique explainer and a workshop preview..
Her May 6-7th, 2023 workshop sold out during the lecture. Waitlist available at end of Event webpage.
Quiltcon wrapup slideshow with favorite quilts and moments from members who attended. (17 members made it to Atlanta.)
Patti launched the 2023 Modern Electric Quiltalong
BQE prep is in the final stages for the April 15-6 show. Alison, Marie and her son will set up the SFMQG table April 14. Susan will staff the SFMQG table all day Saturday. Margie volunteered to work 10-noon Sunday. Volunteers are needed for 2-hour shifts starting at noon, 2 pm and 4 pm.

Announcement: Laura’s Sewing is cutting back its Boca Raton store hours to close daily at 4 p.m.

First field trip is planned April 30 to Miami textile artist Regina Jestrow’s exhibit at Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami Beach. Cathy can pick up 3 passengers at the I-95-Griffin Road Park and Ride lot, second level, for a ride back and forth. Any other volunteer car pool drivers?
