July Block of the Month
Our block this month is from our esteemed and fearless leader, Susan. She sent the link and suggested it might work well for our guild. When I asked if she had a color way in mind, she simply said that she thought solids would work best. I agree completely and I chose Kona cotton colors that are close to the colors in our guild banner.
You don’t have to use Kona cotton of course, but if you have a Kona color card or even a Joann’s close by you can get a better idea of the colors.
Please use solid fabrics in the colors of:
- Kona Chartreuse for the inside green
- Kona Basil Green for the dark green
- Kona Oasis for the teal
Background Color:
True white for the background of course. (Mine is Kona White - I buy it by the bolt at Joann’s when it’s NOT on sale and I can use at least a 40% off coupon)
The block definitely has modern appeal and its construction is modern as well. Trust the tutorial, it works! And it’s well written and illustrated so I didn’t even attempt to rewrite it.
