BQE:

Allison S gave a BQE update. Classes are open to members August 17th - watch for your email. Two community based events for BQE. Broward Health event. January 27- airing of the quilts at Stranahan House, mini quilts gallery show at Art Serve. See website for lots of good info.

Debby S volunteered to be SFMQG's BQE-tique chairperson. Guild’s booth where we can sell handmade items for our fundraiser. Abby, Sue and Charlotte will be on the committee. We will be counting on everyone's participation to make this a success.

Community Project Updates:

Community Service : Please bring in any quilt tops or parts of the French braid pattern. Bring in everything you wish to donate. Get them done by October or November.

Ryan’s Case for Smiles - Miami Chapter. Bring back in the finished cases washed and pressed in Ziploc bags.

Mystery QAL:

Show of Clue #3: Quilt Block

Patti gave the clue for mystery QAL For month #4. Hint: Flying geese

SWAP:

Debby S showed ideas for a swap. Membership chose zippy see thru pouches. Stay tuned for details.

2019 Quiltcon charity Quilt:

Karla and Kerrilyn gave an update on the QuiltCon charity quilt. The theme this year is small piecing. Blocks no bigger than 10x10”. Blocks must have at least 50% background fabric. Blocks are due at the August meeting. Charlotte will big Stitch, Kerrilyn will bind the quilt.
