The November meeting is going to be epic! We are having elections and a 5th Anniversary celebration.
Elections
The candidates for 2017 Executive Council will introduced, followed by the election. Please note, we are still looking for a VP of Education.
Happy Holidays "Make one - Take one" Swap
We will be swapping our handmade quilted items during the meeting. Please drop off your wrapped up item before the meeting and get a swap ticket. Everyone wants to see what fun and cute things were made for the swap, so there will be a special show and tell to open up and show off the goods.
Mini Madness
Our guild will be raising money by making mini quilts for the BQE mini auction. There will be a sew day on Saturday Dec 10 2016 to work on your minis. Charlotte will demo finishing techniques - blocking, binding, hanging, labels.
Other things to look forward to:
- The Raffle basket is back!
- The last Block of the month lottery for 2016.
- BQE news, upcoming quilt shows and quilting events.
- Community Service projects update, including the Quiltcon Charity Quilt.
- Show & Tell
What to bring checklist:
- Wear your name tag! Any members without a handmade name tag will have to pay the $1 tax!
- BOM blocks and jelly roll strips (2.5 x 18 inches or longer) in this month’s BOM colors (or black & white) for the jelly roll raffle.
- Show & Tell
- QAL Quilts for Special Show & Tell
- Snacks to share.
- LOTS of cash to buy goodies from Marilyn Zier's Destash Table.
- Donations for the Sewtastic Basket: modern fabric, patterns, gift cards, books, notions, little presents!
