There is an Amish Made Modern challenge?
That it’s supposed to be easy peasy (but not lemon squeezy?) and due in October.
RECAP
Here’s what I missed, but was shared by the very helpful Andrea:
AJ gave a synopsis of QuiltCon and BQE. (I believe this is where the razor blades came in.)
April’s meeting will be the 27th and combined with our sew day. (It’s true.)
Community service gave a report: Menorah House loved the 49 quilts that we gave them. Susan and Chris showed the new pattern for this year (again!—see this post for more).
Isabella discusses the upcoming workshop with R.G. May 4-5. Spots are still open. Sign up on the website. UPDATE: Rectangles has only one spot left.
June 1- Kate is doing a bag-making workshop. Save the date!
August: Teeny Tiny Piecing with Nicole. (Save this one, too!)
Patti announced April we will start the new QAL. It will have a pattern, including improv piecing, curves, paper piecing and more! Will last 5-6 months. (This never came up in the preview meeting! Weird.)
Catherine presented the March BOM due in April. (The title alone gets two snaps up!)
Maureen had Gold Coast Guild quilt tickets for sale (was it lovely?)
Debbie K gave a presentation on Amish Quilts Turned Modern. (I reeeealllly wanted to see this. But, will search the interwebs.)
Show and tell (I understand it was a robust offering of quilts! Yay guild mates!)
High fives and sweet bindings,
Kristin Beck, 2019 Secretary
