Wow! Our August meeting is almost here!
We are back in our regular meeting space at Patch Reef Park.

We have an exciting program for our main presentation this month, Linda Hungerford will be giving a lecture and trunk show on quilting on domestic machines. This is a "don't miss" event. Guest are welcome to join us for $5.
The Sewtastic raffle basket is back for this month. The Raffle tickets are $1 and the winner gets whole basket of goodies. Bring a few dollars for tickets and support the guild.
The Quiltcom Charity Challenge will kick off this month and Kate Yates will fill us in on all of the details about our SFMQG group project.
The August Block of the Month, is Improv houses. Remember to make at least 4 of these blocks for the lottery! This is going to be a fun one. Have you been seeing all of the blocks on Facebook?
For our Improv Round Robin Quilt Along, bring month six blocks and we will see what we will make for month seven.
There are tons of exciting stuff coming up! Charlotte will present activities and new events.
And please bring your modern quilts for Show & Tell! The Show & Tell will also feature the progress on the heart quilts we are making for the Orlando MQG’s #quiltsforpulse drive. We still need completed quilts and heart blocks, so please finish up your sewing and bring your donations to the meeting!
Susan DiBartolo will have the Destash Table this month. Fabric, notions, patterns - all at prices that will be hard to resist. The Destash Table raises money for the guild and helps a member reduce her stash overflow. You can shop before the meeting, so get there when the doors open at 12:30 for the best choice!
Your August Meeting "What to Bring" checklist:
- Name tags - please wear your handmade name tags. The name tag tax starts this month!
- Cash for buying goodies from the Member's Destash Table before and after the meeting.
- Quilts For Pulse - bring your heart blocks, finished quilts and WIP.
- Show & Tell - bring your modern quilt projects.
- Block of the month - bring your blocks for the lottery.
- Quilt Along - bring your boxes to swap.
- Snacks to share - please bring cookies, cake, chips, candy etc to share.
- Sewtastic Basket donations - please bring modern fabric, patterns & notions or cute gift items for our fundraising basket.
