SATURDAY, July 16th, 2022 1pm-3:30pm

MEETING MINUTES

Cathy opened mtg at 1pm. Dual meeting at Boca Raton Community Center & online.

Attendance : 50 members - 8 in house + 42 on zoom.

Cathy introduced speaker Dana Jones - Pagtinabangay: The Quilts and Quiltmakers of Caohagan Island Very interesting lecture!

QuiltCon Outreach blocks will be sent out in a few days. Maureen and Cathy made test blocks, and 2 can be sewn in under 45 minutes. 20 more volunteers are needed.

QuiltCon: SW Airlines is starting a route to Atlanta on 7/21 for those who haven’t made travel arrangements to attend QuiltCon.

QAL (in Patti’s absence) : All Directions are on website. Quilting plan as well. Size all blocks to be uniform.

BQE Quiltique : 16 projects online under members tab, then BQE tab. Allison will collects all projects made to date at August mtg.

DIY BOM - Cathy : There were 7 participants and Maureen was chosen for gift certificate.

Charity - SusanC & Chris : (Maureen spoke in Susan’s absence). 31 quilts so far, need lots more. The population of both charities were donating to are: 72 children’s beds in the shelter and 120 beds in the nursing facility. All info is on website.

Treasurer : AJ is away and has no report today, other than to say guild has money.

Membership : Charlotte -134 members. AliceH joined online that morning and attended in person. Nice to meet you Alice!

Sip n sew, 2nd and 4th Thursday 8-10 on zoom - July 28th 2022 Anything Goes Modern Sip and Sew Night

SFMQG Annual Challenge will be announced in August, due in October.

10-11th anniversary potluck lunch will be before the Nov. 19 meeting.
