Lecture by David Owen Hastings
David encouraged all to label their quilts. He uses an inkjet printer, EQ cotton satin printable fabric and a photo of your fabric to make labels look like they are part of the backing. Don’t use steam! A PDF cheat sheet goes out to members after the meeting.

Discussed a reduction to $50, but there was strong push back on the Zoom call. Survey will ask members about dues and meeting times.

Change-up for 2024. Four in-person and eight Zoom-only meetings.
Mark your calendars: Quarterly potluck lunches Mar 16, May 18, Sept. 21 & Nov. 16
In-person sew days on the Sundays after meetings noon-4 p.m. at AJ’s clubhouse in Parkland. There’s room for more people!

Kelly coordinates. What Was I Thinking fabric trade (bring anything from a fat quarter to yardage that you don’t plan to use but think another member could add to her stash). Free raffle for a rolling Tutto sewing machine carrier donated by Monica P. of the Quilted Peacock. Deliver those charity quilt blocks.
December handmade gift exchange–Time to make a pincushion, pouch, you name it for a secret exchange.
